b.       You forgot to study for a test you have on a Monday morning so you tell your teacher that your grandmother died over the weekend and you were too upset to study and your teacher allows you to take the test another day.   THAT IS CHEATING

c.       You write a few formulas on your hand for a math test just in case you forget but only need to look at your hand once during the test.  THAT IS CHEATING

d.       You are writing your first research paper and are not sure how to do it so you read over a few of your older brother’s papers on completely different topics just to get an idea of how to write one.  THAT IS NOT CHEATING

e.       Quoting or closely paraphrasing the writing of others while leading the reader to believe that you are the author of the text is called PLAGIARISM. Is this cheating?  THAT IS CHEATING

f.        Thank you to every one who participated.

4.       Today in 1868, for the first time in U.S. history, the impeachment trial of an American president gets underway in the U.S. Senate. 7.       Joseph Kony is Ugandan warlord who kidnaps children and uses them as child soldiers and slaves for his militia, the LRA. Joseph Kony has over 30,000 children and is held for more crimes than any other criminal anywhere. This has been going on for more than 26 years and nothing has changed. He is the most wanted criminal in the world and is wanted in the international criminal courts.  Let’s make him famous by spreading the word about the horrible things he has gotten away with for all these years. Let’s put a spotlight on him, remove his power, and shut him and his followers down. On April 20th there will be a world wide movement to expose him and his activities, but let’s expose him now by spreading the word, talking about him, and wearing red. Together we can make Joseph Kony famous. 2012 is the year this will all end, and finally there will be JUSTICE. Together we can stop this, we can stop Joseph Kony.  Let’s make Kony a known name!
