Our fun activities may include:

A visit to the Timothy School

Community Service Drives, such as coat and towel drives

Trips to senior citizen home facilities

Cooking Martin Luther King, Jr. Casseroles

Helping out around our school and more!

 

The 5^th and 6^th grade informational meeting will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, October 12^th and 13 during your activity periods in room 208.

 

The 7th and 8^th informational meeting will be held on Thursday Oct. 13^th during your activity period in the LGR 12.

 

If you can not make the meeting, 5^th and 6^th graders should see Ms. Seymour in room 208 for questions, and 7^th and 8^th graders should see Mrs. Abell-Galella in her office for questions.

3. TE Middle School has had a club called Model United Nations Club for the last 5 years . It is a club that lets students study and represent other countries , thinking of the  needs of those countries. The club is open to 6th, 7th and 8th graders and meets after school.   If you would like to apply to be in the club, see Mrs. Cook in room 203, and plan to attend the first meeting after school Tuesday 18 October .
4. A new group will begin for students who want to create underwater sea creatures from yarn. It is called the Crocheting Coral Reef Project. The group will make objects that look like plants and animals. They will meet in room 203 after school on Mondays. The first meeting is 17 October. See Mrs. Cook with any questions.

 

5. Congratulations to the 8^th grade girls’ soccer team who defeated Eisenhower yesterday with a score of 3-0. Hannah A., Eliza H., and Angela N. each scored a goal. Mary M. and Annie D. both did a great job keeping the ball out of the net. Keep up the good work ladies.

 

6. Congratulations to the 8^th grade field hockey team for their 3-0 win against Eisenhower yesterday.  Liz A., Alice R., and Kelly B. all had one goal apiece.  The whole team worked together well as a unit, which allowed them to dominate the game.  The Bulldogs showed a lot of team spirit and good sportsmanship.  Congratulation again on a great game!

 

7. Attention TV Studio Members:  The new schedule is up so please remember to check it before leaving today.  Thanks!

 

8. Tomorrow is the last day for collections.  Please support the SPCA drive by bringing in towels, sheets, blankets, pet toys, and newspapers.  See the flyers and posters around the school.

3. The yearbook staff will meet at 2:40 on Wednesday Oct. 12th in the Tech Ed room from 2:40 until 3:00. Please be prompt….

 

4. Yesterday the 8^th grade field hockey team played Garnet Valley.  After the first half the score was 0-1 with Garnet Valley in the lead.  Despite a very strong 2^nd half by the entire team the Bulldogs came up short, losing 0-2.  Good luck in your game against Eisenhower today.

6. Yesterday the girls 7th grade Field Hockey Beat Garnet Valley with a final score of 1 to 0. The winning goal was scored by Madeleine W. Outstanding performance by all. Fabulous goal tending by Alexa W and Amadea K. Great work girls!! Enjoy your day off today!

 

7. The Weight Football defeated a hard-hitting Welsh Valley opponent on their home turf yesterday, 12-8. The Bulldog offense was led by the ground attack from Nick S., Zack K., Scott S. and Henry B. behind the blocking of Billy H., Michael D. Hunter F. and Mike M. The Bulldog defense was fired up by Nick D., David P., Matt H., Jack R. and Will M. Come out and cheer the Bulldogs next Wednesday at home against Bala. Congratulations Team on hard-fought win!!!

3. Tutoring Club will begin next Tuesday, October 11th, in Mrs. Houghton’s Room 112.  For those of you interested in joining, please see the main office or your guidance counselor for a permission slip.

 

4. Congratulations to Ms. Wilson’s homeroom for winning song of the week.  The song was Man on the Moon by R.E.M.

 

5. On this day, poet Alan Ginsberg reads his poem "Howl" at a poetry reading at Six Gallery in San Francisco. The poem was an immediate success that rocked the Beat literary world and set the tone for confessional poetry of the 1960s and later.

Announcements for Thursday, October 06, 2011 - Day 1

1. Today’s lunch is Chicken Cheese Steak on a Steak Roll, low fat white or chocolate milk, and assorted fruits and vegetables.

 

2. Congratulations to the 8^th grade girls’ soccer team who defeated East Norriton yesterday. Hannah A., Annie D., and Eliza all scored. Alli M. and Caitlyn F. did a great job on defense. Angela A. and Anna C. kept the ball out of the back of our net. The final score was 4-1. Way to go ladies.

 

3. There will be a short meeting for students interested in the Model United Nations Club at TEMS. It will be held Thurs. October 6th in the school cafeteria at 7 pm. Any student planning to attend should bring at least one parent with them and an ethnic snack to share. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Cook in room 203.

 

4. Tutoring Club will begin next Tuesday, October 11th, in Mrs. Houghton’s Room 112.  For those of you interested in joining, please see the main office or your guidance counselor for a permission slip.

 

5. "Yesterday the girls’ 7th grade field hockey team played an AMAZING game beating East Norriton 3 to 0. Goals were scored by Sophie G, Jess H and Steph H. TE dominated the entire game thanks to the hard work of the entire team and FABULOUS work from our goalies Alexa W and Piper H. WONDERFUL job girls!!"

1. Today’s lunch is Nachos w/Seasoned Beef, Cheese, Salsa, Sour Cream, low fat white or chocolate milk, and assorted fruits and vegetables.

 

2. Those wishing to join the yearbook staff and work are invited to a brief meeting today after school in the Tech Ed Room from 2:40 until 3:00.

The first meeting will be held tomorrow, October 6^th, in the Upper Computer lab, the former Alien Lab.

 

6. The Weight Football team chalked up its second win yesterday, defeating Radnor on their home field. The Bulldog offense was led by Matt H., Nick S. & Scott S. behind the blocking of Billy H, Nick D. and Mike M. The defense was fired up by Nick S., David P., Henry B., Zach K. and Matt R.  Congratulations on a total team effort!!!
