1.      Yearbooks are still available, until supplies run out, in room 122, price $28.00, check or cash, checks to be made out to TEMS.

 

2.      All 8th grade World Language students who did NOT take the FINAL EXAM yesterday MUST report to their World Language teacher at 1 o’clock this afternoon to take the exam.  Do not go to Battle of the Bulldogs.

Any 8th grade World Language student who has NOT turned in their textbook PLEASE DO SO TODAY

 

3.      On this date in 1885, the Statue of Liberty, a gift of friendship from the people of France to the people of the United States, arrives in New York City's harbor.

 

4.      Song of the week winner for this year in 5th grade is Ms. DeDonato.  In 6th grade Mrs. O’Connor defeated two time defending champion Mr. Broadhead. In 7th grade Mr. Boukalik and room 220 are the winners. Last years champion Mrs.Tyrell fell just short of repeating and has to be satisfied with the 8th grade title. And the school-wide champion is Ms. Wilson!

2.      If you are a 6th or 7th grade student and have not taken your Impact test to play sports for TE next fall, please come to the library Tuesday or Wednesday after school.

 

3.      Today are final assessments in World Languages.  Students should report to their assigned areas 2nd and 8th Periods. 

Latin will report to either Room 224 or Room 231.

 

4.      All Stage Crew members please report to Room 108 immediately following announcements.

1.      The Writing Club will meet in Mrs. McDermott's room, 112 during 8th period on Tuesday, June 15 to assemble the Bulldog Press for distribution and to be the first to see the final edition of the school year.

4.      On this day in 1938, Cincinnati Red Johnny Vander Meer pitches his second consecutive no-hit, no-run game. Vander Meer is the only pitcher in baseball history to throw two back-to-back no-hitters.

4.      On this day in 1777, during the American Revolution, the Continental Congress adopts a resolution stating that "the flag of the United States be thirteen alternate stripes red and white" and that "the Union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new Constellation."

 

5.      The 7th Grade Softball Team Breakfast will be tomorrow at 7:30 in Mr. Allison's Room.

2.    Attention 8th graders… There's only 3 days left to order the Memories 2010 DVD. Orders will only be taken until next Wednesday, June 16th.  See Mr. Veroneau in room 212 or reserve your copy in the main office.

1.    The 5th and 6th grade after school music shuttle will end on June 10.

 

2.    This Thursday, June 10, will be the final day of Tutoring Club for the school year.

 

3.    5/6 after school sports are cancelled for the rest of the year. See you again in September!

 

4.    The 5/6 shuttle bus will end this Thursday.

 

5.    8th graders interested in running Cross-Country for Conestoga in the fall, please see Coach Hardy to sign-up.

 

6.    Yearbooks may be purchased after today in Mr. Frescoln's room after 1st period, price $28.00 check or cash, checks to be made out to TEMS.

 

7.    Attention all Knitting club girls :  If you have been part of the group at all this year, or want to come for the first time, come to the Large Group Room today  6th period, for our end of year party.

 

8.    Attention 8th graders…There's only 4 days left to order the Memories 2010 DVD.  The last day to order is next Wednesday.  You can place your order in the main office or in room 212. The cost is $10. but the memories are priceless.  For those who have already ordered the DVD, they will be delivered to you in homeroom on Friday June 18th.

                        Announcements for Tuesday 9, 2010

 

1. The 5th and 6th grade after school music shuttle will end on June 10.

 

2. This Thursday, June 10, will be the final day of Tutoring Club for the school year.

 

3.  5/6 after school sports are cancelled for the rest of the year. See you again in September!

 

4.     The 5/6 shuttle bus will end this Thursday.

 

5. Yearbooks may be purchased each and every morning in the cafeteria from 7:15 until 7:45. Price $28.00 check or cash, checks to be made payable to TEMS. Friday is the day they will be distributed to homerooms.

 

6.  This Thursday we will be having a school picnic during the lunch/activity periods.  The menu is cheeseburger, carrot sticks, fruit, chips, milk, and water ice.

 

Ms. Hickey, Mr. Hoffman, and Mr. Cataldi will be grilling outside in the field area and our jazz groups will provide the entertainment.  Those who wish to buy lunch should pay inside the cafeteria and then proceed outside to the field area.

 

7. Due to screenings being held in the library, Homework Club and Tutoring Club will meet today in room 110, Mrs. O’Connor’s room.

 

8.  There will be no more writing club meetings this year. Please listen to the announcements for the release party of the last edition of the Bulldog Press. Thank you for all of your hard work this year.

 

9.  Attention all Knitting club girls:  Today we will meet in room 218. Tomorrow Thursday, we will celebrate in the Large Group Room and get yarn to keep for the summer.

5.  ATTENTION TRACK TEAM:  TODAY IS THE TRACK PARTY AFTER SCHOOL IN THE CAFETERIA.  YOU MUST RETURN YOUR UNIFORM AND PAY YOUR 5 DOLLARS TO MS SEYMOUR BY ACTIVITY PERIOD TODAY OR YOU CANNOT ATTEND.

EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT ATTENDING, YOUR UNIFORM MUST STILL BE RETURNED IMMEDIATELY OR YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR IT.

Announcements for Friday, June 4, 2010

1.    Attention 8th graders…There's only 9 days left to order your copy of Memories 2010.  See Mr. Veroneau in room 212.  The last day to place your order is Wednesday, June 16th.

 

2.    The TE/VF dance for 8th graders will be next Friday, June 11th at Conestoga from 7:30-10 pm.  Tickets will go on sale Monday for $5 each in the mornings outside the circle window and at all 8th grade lunches.  Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.  This is a dress up dance.  Girls should wear a dress or skirt and guys should wear a shirt or tie.  This is your last middle school dance!

 

3.    Sign ups for battle of the bulldog captains will be Monday during lunch in the cafeteria.  We will votes for captains on Wednesday in homeroom.  You cannot sign anyone but yourself up for captain.  There will be a 7th and 8th grade HR Rep meeting during lunch on Monday to go through

Battle of the Bulldogs.

Attention Track and Field Athletes: Please return your washed uniforms to Ms. Seymour in room 225.  The track party is next Tuesday, June 8, 2010 directly after school.  If you are able to attend, please bring $5 for pizza, soda, and snacks to Ms. Seymour by Friday, June 4

Announcements for Monday, June 1, 2010

 

Attention 5th and 6th Grade Students:  The 5th and 6th grade after school music shuttle will end on June 10.

 

 

On Thursday, 6th grade hosted the annual 24 game tournament. 

The top 16 finalists from TE middle (that’s the top 16 out of 260 students in the class!) faced off against the top 16 finalists from VF middle.

After 3 rounds of competition, Mark D was the 1st place finisher with 103 points!  Congratulations also go out to Alex W & Jona S who finished in the top 10.  Maddie W just missed the top 10 by a single point!

Congratulations to all our finalists on an outstanding job!!!!

 

 

Reminder that there is no AFTER School sports this week.

 

 

7th Grade Softball players are reminded that their jerseys must be turned in before tomorrow. Please make sure you have turned in your jersey to Mr. Allison.
