Announcements for Monday, February 22, 2010

1.      Buy your tickets for the 5th and 6th grade movie social this Tuesday through Friday in the cafeteria during 5th and 6th grade lunch.  The movie is a private showing of Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief at the Wayne Theatre. For TEMS 5th and 6th graders only!  The date is Thursday, March 4th from 11:30 am to 2:00pm.  There will be pizza and unlimited popcorn and soda.  The cost is $12 – payable by cash or check made out to the TEMS PTO.

 

2.      Attention all 5/6 cast members; please stop by Mrs. Bellopede’s room for an updated rehearsal schedule.  There will be an emergency rehearsal for Cast 2 on Monday 2/22.  Cast 2 will practice on Tuesday 2/23. Also, please hand-in your T-shirt money to Mrs. Bellopede as soon as possible!

 

3.      If you would like to be a Conestoga Football or Basketball cheerleader for the 2010-2011 school year, please note the following dates:  Practice Days are Monday, March 15th and Tuesday March 16th from 7:30-8:45.  Try-out days are Monday, March 22nd and Tuesday, March 23rd beginning at 4:30. 

 

You MUST attend BOTH practice sessions in order to be eligible to try-out.  Practices will be held in the Valley Forge Middle School cafeteria.  More detailed information will be given at the first practice session.  Hope to see you there!

 

4.      Congratulations to the Math Counts team who competed in the annual Chester County competition over the weekend. Kanishka R. placed 4th individually out of approximately 200 students. He will represent TEMS at the State competition next month. Caroline M. placed 6th individually and Sreejata M. placed 8th. The team consisting of Elaine H., Sreejata M., Patrick N., and Kanishka R.,  placed 3rd in the team competition out of 29 teams. Cynthia H., Mike S., and Richard W. also competed as individuals.

 

5.      The TE and Valley Forge Middle school wrestlers combined to form the "Conestoga Middle School" wrestling team and participated in the Southeaster Pennsylvania Middle School/Junior High Championships at Quakertown High School over the weekend.  Representing TE was Kevin Z, Blaise T, Chris M, Kit S, and Andrew F.  The Conestoga Middle School team had three wrestlers medal.  The coaches would like to thank all who participated and could not be more proud of the class and sportsmanship you displayed on and off the matt throughout the weekend.

 

6.      A reminder to all 5/6 cast members.  We will have play practice today for Cast 2 and tomorrow for Cast 1.  Costumes are due on Thursday at the ALL Cast meeting. Actors and Actresses must attend rehearsals this week! Stage Crew does not need to report to practices at all this week.  $12 for your official play T-shirt is due to Mrs. Bellopede by Thursday.
