Announcements for Friday, April 30, 2010

1.)    The lost and found bin is overflowing. The lost and found is located in the hallway to the large gym. There are books, coats, sweatshirts and many other items in the bin. If you have misplaced something, please check the bin.

2.)    The 7th Grade Softball Team had won an exciting game yesterday 2-1 over a tough Upper Merion squad. Great pitching by Olivia and two doubles by Ellen keyed the win. The entire team played great defense that helped limit Upper Merion to one run. Great job girls and good luck today vs East Norriton!

3.)    Attention 8th graders!  The Memories 2010 DVD is now on sale.  This program highlights your favorite memories of TE Middle School. It includes interviews, field trips, sports highlights, shows and much much more.   The price to own this DVD is  $10.00 and supplies are limited.  See Mr. Veroneau in room 212 to reserve your copy today.  Memories 2010 will be shown only once at the 8th grade recognition assembly on June 18th, but you can reserve your own copy today.

4.)    In New York City, George Washington, the great military leader of the American Revolution, is inaugurated as the first president of the United States.  In February 1789, all 69 presidential electors unanimously chose Washington to be the first U.S. president. In March, the new U.S. constitution officially took effect, and in April Congress formally sent word to Washington that he had won the presidency.

5.)    Yesterday the 8th grade girls beat East Norriton with a score of 8-5. Julia V. and Amanda J. both pitches an amazing game. Amy C. caught an amazing hit in left filed. Mommy M. and Gabby W. had three great plays at first. Hannah L. played a fantastic game as catcher tagging girls out. Anna F., Madison L., Allison A., Molly M., Gabby W., Julia V., Amanda J., and Hannah L. all got on base. Great job girls.

6.)    In 5th Grade, Ms. DeDonato’s Room 213 has opened up a four point lead over Mr. Mattison and Room 109.  Time is running out, could this be their year?

In 6th Grade, Mrs. O’Connor and Ms. Peck are locked in a tight battle.  Just one point separates the two homerooms. It looks like we might get a new champion in 6th grade.

In 7th Grade, Mr. Boukalik has a two point advantage over Mrs. Joost.  It looks like this one will go down to the very end.

In 8th Grade, Room 234 and Mrs. Tyrell have continued to build on their lead.  They are clearly focused on trying to repeat as school champs.

Room 221 and Ms. Wilson have the top spot overall, but there is just one point separating her and Mrs. Tyrell.

Thank you to all of the homerooms for participating and good luck.
