Announcements for Monday, June 13, 2011

  1. Lunch today is chicken breast sandwich on a kaiser roll, assorted fruits and vegetables with low fat white or chocolate milk.

 

  1. Attention all 6th and 7th grade students who are interested in playing sports at TEMS next year - if you have not taken an ImPACT test, please come to the library after school today.  Today is the final day of testing for the spring.

 

  1. Attention 8th graders…Today is the last day to reserve a copy of the Memories 2011 DVD.  You can order a copy in the main office or in room 212.  DVD's that have been purchased will be delivered to homerooms on Thursday. 

 

  1. Today eighth grade students will be having World Language final assessments.  All students should bring with them three things:  1.  Their textbooks to turn in  2.  Two number 2 lead pencils  3.  A book to read

 

  1. On this day in 1966, the Supreme Court hands down its decision in Miranda v. Arizona, establishing the principle that all criminal suspects must be advised of their rights before interrogation. Now considered standard police procedure, "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can, and will, be used against you in court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford one, one will be appointed to you," has been heard so many times in television and film dramas that it has become almost cliche.
