Announcements for Tuesday, March 23, 2010

1.) Lend a Hand and peer mediators will be selling pretzels and juice boxes for a dollar after school on March 26th to raise money for the victims of the Chile earthquake.  We will sell them in three locations, the front lobby, by the auditorium and the back door.  Please bring a dollar on Friday to buy a pretzel and support a good cause. 

 

2.) The Math League Test will be held today in Large Group Room 12 during first period. Participants should report promptly following homeroom.  Please bring a calculator and a pencil.

 

3.) 7th Grade Knowledge Bowl tryouts will be held Wednesday, March 25, in room 114 during activity period and lunch.

 

4.)  Attention all Model UN club members - The field trip today needs you at the front office at 8:40 am.

3.)    ATTENTION TRACK TEAM::  REMEMBER THIS WEEK'S PRACTICE SCHEDULE IS FOR 8TH GRADE MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY; 7TH GRADE IS TUESDAY AND THURSDAY.  IN THE EVENT OF A PRACTICE CANCELLATION, THE SCHEDULE WILL NOT CHANGE.

1)      Attention all Model UN club members - the permission slips for Tuesday's field trip are due to Mrs. Cook or Mrs. Kearney by Friday 19 march. If you don't have one, get one.

 

2)      On this day in 1734, Patriot politician Thomas McKean is born to Scots-Irish Presbyterian parents in Chester County, Pennsylvania. He will eventually serve as president of the state of Delaware, president of the U.S. Congress under the Articles of Confederation and chief justice of Pennsylvania s Supreme Court.

1.) Attention TV Studio Members: There will be a brief meeting today in room 226 to have our yearbook photo taken.  If you wish to be in the photo, please be prompt.  We will be finished by 3:00.

 

2.) Attention all Math League Participants.  Signups are being taken for the final Math League Test of the school year. It will be administered Tuesday, March 23, first period in Large Group Room 12.  All advanced seventh and eighth grade math students are encouraged to participate.  Please sign up with Mrs. Stehouwer. 

 

3.) The 8th grade boys’ basketball team needs to turn-in their washed uniform as soon as possible to Coach Hardy.

2.) This is a quick reminder from What A Life.  Today is the last day we’ll have parent volunteers at lunch to collect information about what you’re doing outside of school to help others.  We want to share the great things you’re up to, so take a moment to talk with a parent volunteer today.

Announcements for Tuesday, March 16, 2010

2.)  What A Life wants to thank everybody who participated in our lunch activity on Friday.  The great things you are doing at school to be Socially Responsible filled the bulletin board and more!

 

Today and tomorrow, parent volunteers will be at lunch collecting information about what you’re doing to help others OUTSIDE of school.  Feel free to bring in materials from home or just take a moment to tell us what you’re up to.  Then, later in the week, keep an eye out for new displays around the cafeteria.

 

Thank you to everyone who has taken a moment to share his or her good work!

 

3.)  The yearbook staff will hold a working lunch meeting in the cafeteria during 7th grade lunch Wednesday, March 17th. Should anyone have any questions please see Mr. Frescoln...

 

4.)  ATTENTION:  TRACK TEAM - Today's track practice is for 7th grade.  Report to Large Group Room 12 at dismissal.  You do not need to change.

 

5.)  There will NO 7th grade girl's lacrosse practice on Monday or Tuesday March 15 and 16th.  Practice will begin on Wednesday, March 17th.  Please be ready at 2:40 to board the shuttle bus to Valley Forge
