Announcements for Tuesday, November 08, 2011 - Day 5

1.      Today’s lunch is Penne Pasta with Meatballs, low fat white or chocolate milk, and assorted fruits and vegetables.

 

2.      The yearbook staff photographers will meet Wednesday Nov.9th for a 5 minute meeting in the Tech Lab immediately following the close of school. Photographers only please!

 

3.      Picture retakes are this Thursday, November 10th from 8AM until 11AM in the auditorium – you can come down anytime.  Please pick up new picture forms in the front office.

 

4.      Our first service activity is this Wednesday, Nov. 9.  Please meet Ms. Seymour in room 208 directly after school.  You will be able to make the shuttle bus home.

 

5.      Attention girl’s soccer players:

 

7th grade girl’s soccer players should arrive at Teamer by 4:45 today.

8th grade girl’s soccer players should arrive at Teamer by 5:45 today.

Announcements for Monday, November 07, 2011 - Day 4

1.      Today’s lunch is Hot Ham & Cheese on a Bagel, low fat white or chocolate milk, and assorted fruits and vegetables.

 

2.      Battling down to the final minutes on Friday, the Weight Football team lost to Valley Forge 28-20. The Bulldog offense was led by Peyton J., Henry B., Nick S., Mike M., Ethan G. and Zack K.  Scott S. sparked the Bulldogs first score with a 60 yard touchdown interception backed by the defensive fight of Billy H., Nick D, Matt H., Joey R., Matt R.  Congratulations Bulldogs on an exciting game!  Come out and cheer the Garnet & Gray in their final home game against Radnor on Wednesday.

 

3.      Cards for Recovering soldiers are available in the main office.  Please stop in and pick one up to help show support for our nation’s soldiers.  Thank you.

 

4.      On Friday, the 8th grade field hockey team played a great game against Radnor.  The final score was 3-1 with Emily H. scoring 2 goals and Abbie K. scoring 1.  Both the offense and defense played a great game.  Good luck today against East Norriton!

 

5.      Attention all field hockey players:  For tomorrow’s game against Valley Forge we will be walking up to Conestoga.  Please meet in Ms. Crocker’s room at 2:40 tomorrow ready to play so that we can all walk up together.  The 7th grade game starts at 3:15.  Please see Ms. Crocker with any questions.

Announcements for Friday, November 04, 2011 - Day 3

1.      Today’s lunch is French Bread Pizza, low fat white or chocolate milk, and assorted fruits and vegetables.

 

2.      Yesterday, the girls 7th grade field hockey team continued their winning streak beating Bala Cynwyd Middle School with a final score of 6 to 0. Four of the goals were scored by Jess H! Goals were also scored by Olivia R and Emma C. Alexa W did a fantastic job in goal! Outstanding Defense was played by Katie D, Austina L, Natalie M, and Christine M. Fabulous work ladies! Let's Beat Radnor today!!

 

3.      If you like to watch the night time constellations in the sky and want to use professional telescopes to view them - for free - come to Valley Forge Park, Saturday November 5th in the early evening by the model airplane field. The Delaware Valley Amateur Astronomy club will be there to share this activity with the public. They stay for several hours.

 

4.      The 8th grade field hockey team played a good game against Bala Cynwyd but came up short, losing 1-2.  Samantha H. had the lone goal for the Bulldogs.  Good luck against Radnor today!

Announcements for Tuesday, November 3, 2011 - Day 2

1.      Today’s lunch is Baked Potato Bar w/Broccoli, Cheese and Seasoned Meat, low fat white or chocolate milk, and assorted fruits and vegetables.

 

2.      News flash: the 7th grade Volleyball team traveled to Conestoga to take on a very strong Valley Forge squad yesterday. Our Bulldogs proceeded to win 4 straight games and therefore win with fantastic play across the board; serving passing and spiking. Great job girls!!!

 

3.      At 12:05 A.M. on this day in 1930, the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel between the United States and Canada is officially opened to car traffic.

 

4.      The Soviet Union launches the first animal into space—a dog name Laika—aboard the Sputnik 2 spacecraft on this date in 1957.

Announcements for Tuesday, November 2, 2011 - Day 1

1.      Today’s lunch is BBQ Chicken Breast Sandwich on a Kaiser roll, low fat white or chocolate milk, and assorted fruits and vegetables.

 

2.      Any 6th, 7th, and 8th graders interested in joining this year’s Sewing Club need to sign up on the sheet outside the Family Con room.  The club will meet every Tuesday after school from 2:40 to 4:00 starting this Tuesday November 8th to December 20th.  This is a perfect opportunity to make gifts for family and friends for the holidays, learn something new about sewing, or just perfect your skills.  Space is limited, so sign up today!  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Klotz in Room 3 before school.

 

3.      November 11th is Veterans' Day, to honor all those who have served our country in the military. If you have a picture of someone who served in the military, please see Mrs. Cook in room 203 so the photo can be included in a Veterans' Day bulletin board.

 

4.      On this day in 1777, the USS Ranger, with a crew of 140 men under the command of John Paul Jones, leaves Portsmouth, New Hampshire, for the naval port at Brest, France, where it will stop before heading toward the Irish Sea to begin raids on British warships. This was the first mission of its kind during the Revolutionary War.

Announcements for Tuesday, November 01, 2011 - Day 6

1.      Today’s lunch is Soft Turkey Taco w/Cheese, Diced Tomatoes, Lettuce & Taco Sauce, low fat white or chocolate milk, and assorted fruits and vegetables.

 

2.      Attention orchestra members and all students who wanted to join animae club- but could not because it meets on Wednesday… Animae club is now meeting on Tuesdays AND Wednesdays!! So please join us on either day- or Both days- from 2:30-3:30.  No need to sign up- just come!!!  We meet in Ms. Turner's room 153.

 

3.      The book fair is in full swing! Come on down and check out the Justin Bieber book and poster, The Ripley's Believe It or Not book, and the Percy Jackson and the Twilight series. We also have cookbooks, graphic novels, craft and make up books. We are open 7:30-3 today thru Thursday and 7:30-1:00 on Friday. We look forward to seeing you!

 

4.      Attention Community Club Members:  5th and 6th graders will have their first meeting on Tuesday, November 1 during period 6.  Please bring your lunch to room 208.  You may buy your lunch during your lunch time and bring it to room 208. 

 

7th and 8th graders will have their first meeting on Thursday, November 3 during period 5.  Please bring your lunch to room 108.  You may buy your lunch during your lunch time and bring it to room 108.
