Announcements for Thursday, September 30, 2010

1.  Lunch: Egg, Cheese, Ham, on a Bagel, assorted fruits and vegetables, low fat white or chocolate milk

 

2.  The first day of Tutoring Club for this year will be Monday, October 4!  If you are interested in receiving homework help from a Conestoga High School tutor, please see your guidance counselor or Mrs. O'Connor in Room 207 for a permission slip.  We will meet in the library from 2:45 to 4:00 Monday through Thursday each week. Hope to see you there!

 

3.  Any interested 5th, 6th, or 7th grade girls interested in dance club should stop by room 255 to pick up a permission slip.  No experience is necessary.  See Ms. Seymour in room 225 if you have questions.

4.  In June 1948, the Soviet Union suddenly blocked all ground traffic into West Berlin, which was located entirely within the Russian zone of occupation in Germany. It was an obvious effort to force the United States, Great Britain, and France (the other occupying powers in Germany) to accept Soviet demands concerning the postwar fate of Germany. As a result of the Soviet blockade, the people of West Berlin were left without food, clothing, or medical supplies.
