  1. Today’s lunch is Soft Turkey Taco w/Cheese, Diced Tomatoes, Lettuce & Taco Sauce, low fat white or chocolate milk, assorted fruits and vegetables

 

  1. It's time for the What a Life! Program to start again. This year, the theme is Global Awareness. You'll learn more about it during your class meetings on Wednesday.

 

  1. On January 25, 1924, the first Winter Olympics take off in style at Chamonix in the French Alps.  Spectators were thrilled by the ski jump and bobsled as well as 12 other events involving a total of six sports.  The ‘International Winter Sports Week’, as it was known, was a great success, and in 1928 the International Olympic Committee officially designated the Winter Games, staged at St. Moritz, Switzerland, as the second Winter Olympics.

 

  1. Writing Club will not meet this week. If you have an article to finish up, please see Mr. Mattison or Mrs. McDermott to see about a way to get it done. We will meet again next week and begin brainstorming ideas for the second edition of the Bulldog Press.

 

  1. On this day in 1961, President John F. Kennedy becomes the first U.S. president to hold a live televised new conference.
