Announcements for Friday, March 16, 2012

1.       Today’s lunch is stuffed crust pizza, assorted fruits and vegetables, low-fat white or chocolate milk.

 

2.       Attention all Model United Nations Club members - The next meeting is on Monday March 19th after school. All members should have work started on their resolutions. See Mrs. Cook today for materials if you were absent on March 5th from the last meeting. 

 

3.       If you would like to be a Conestoga Football or Basketball Cheerleader for the 2012-2013 school year, then plan on coming to our practice days.  The practice days are Monday, March 19th and Tuesday, March 20th from 7:30-8:45 in the Valley Forge Middle School cafeteria.  The Try-out Days are Monday, March 26th and Tuesday, March 27th beginning at 5:30.  You MUST attend BOTH practice sessions in order to be eligible to try-out.  Practices will be held in the Valley Forge Middle School Cafeteria.  More detailed information will be given at the first practice session.  Hope to see you there.

 

4.       7th graders, when you look from first base to third base do you think hypotenuse? When you have trouble pushing something do you think: Inertia?   Do you know that Kenya is not always a question? Then do we have something for you!  7th grade knowledge bowl!  A second round of tryouts is being held TODAY during activity period in room 115 – Mr. Erwin’s room. Bring your lunch in case tryouts run into lunch period.

 

5.       Please remember that our Change for Champions drive is going on now…..donate loose change….help Special Olympics….and have a chance to win some great prizes!!

 

6.       Today in 1802, the United States Military Academy--the first military school in the United States--is founded by Congress for the purpose of educating and training young men in the theory and practice of military science. Located at West Point, New York, the U.S. Military Academy is often simply known as West Point.
