Announcements for Wednesday, March 28, 2012

1.       Today’s lunch is grilled cheese sandwich, assorted fruits and vegetables, low-fat white or chocolate milk.

 

2.       The yearbook staff will meet today for a brief however important meeting in the Tech Ed room at the close of school for 5 minutes. Please be prompt..

 

3.       Homework Club and tutoring club is cancelled on Thursday. There will be no 4:00 bus on Thursday.

 

4.       7^th grade knowledge bowl practice will be held tomorrow, Thursday, during lunch and activity in room 115.

 

5.       Helping Hands will meet today after school in room 208.

 

6.       Attention TV Studio Members:  The schedule for the week after spring break is posted.  Please check it before you leave for spring break.

 

7.       At 4 a.m. on March 28, 1979, the worst accident in the history of the U.S. nuclear power industry begins when a pressure valve in the Unit-2 reactor at Three Mile Island fails to close. Cooling water, contaminated with radiation, drained from the open valve into adjoining buildings, and the core began to dangerously overheat
