Announcements for Friday, May 6, 2011

  1. Reminder to all 8th graders wanting to audition for this years’ Variety Show.  ALL audition forms must be turned into Mr. Schweitzer by 2:40 TODAY.  Auditions will be held next Thursday, May 12th immediately following the end school in the auditorium. Any questions please see Mrs. Rickel or Mr. Schweitzer.

 

  1. The 8th grade boys’ lacrosse team beat Bala Cynwyd Middle School yesterday by a score of 6-3.  The midfielders played a great game, especially Niall C., Kevin C., Nolan M., Olivier E., Sam F., Jack M., and Matt N.  Luke T. had two goals, and Greg T., Quinn B., Ryan D., and Jeff P. each had one goal.  Quinn B. had two assists, and Luke T., Greg T., Matt P., and Ted P. each had one assist.

 

  1. Track will have a meet this afternoon, please stop by the athletic board to see what you are running

 

  1. On this day in 1937, the airship Hindenburg, the largest dirigible ever built and the pride of Nazi Germany bursts into flames upon touching its mooring mast in Lakehurst, New Jersey, killing 36 passengers and crewmembers.

 

  1. Congratulations to Mrs. Tyrell’s homeroom for winning song of the week. The song was Suffragette City by David Bowie.
