Announcements for Tuesday, January 31, 2012

1.     Today’s lunch is Penne Pasta with Meatballs, assorted fruits and vegetables, and low-fat white or chocolate milk.

 

2.     Congratulations to the 8^th grade boys’ basketball team as they defeated Sandy Run 32 to 31.  The entire team played an outstanding game.  Way to go Bulldogs!

 

3.     Attention 7^th grade students:  All 7th grade students need to report to the auditorium today directly after 4th period for activity for a mandatory assembly.

  

4.     Please excuse the 7^th and 8^th grade boys’ basketball team and Johanna Nasman and Katie Monseli at 2:20 for an away game.

7.     On this day in 1865, the U.S. House of Representatives passes the 13th Amendment to the Constitution, abolishing slavery in America. The amendment read, "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude...shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

 

8.     On February 7^th, 8^th and 9^th TEMS will be participating in American Heart Associations Jump rope for Heart in 5^th and 6^th grade and Hoops for Heart in 7^th and 8^th grade.  We now go to a video for Jump rope for Heart…
