Announcements for Wednesday, October 19, 2011 - Day 3

1. Today’s lunch is cheese steak on a sub roll, low fat white or chocolate milk, and assorted fruits and vegetables.

 

2. "Yesterday, the girl’s 7th grade field hockey team played an awesome game against Arcola with a final score of 1 to 1. The goal was scored by Sophie G with assistance by Emma C and Olivia R.  Piper H and Grace G did a fabulous job in goal and impressive defensive saves were performed by Austina L, Alexa W, and Natalie M. An outstanding game was played by all! Great job ladies! Let's beat Bala Cynwyd today!!!"

 

3. The Writing Club will not meet this week. We will continue working on the first edition of the Bulldog Press next week.

 

4. On this day in 1781, British General Charles Cornwallis formally surrenders 8,000 British soldiers and seamen to a French and American force at Yorktown, Virginia, bringing the American Revolution to a close.
