Announcements for Friday, April 27, 2012 - Day 1

1.      Today’s lunch is French Bread Pizza, assorted fruits and vegetables, low-fat white or chocolate milk.

 

2.      On February 25, 2012 projects done by Latin students from TEMS were judged in the 63^rd annual Philadelphia Classical Society competition in traditional artistry and writing.

T/E Middle School competed with twenty-two other public schools, private schools, and academies in the Philadelphia area.

 

3.      Attention all 8th graders wishing to audition for the Variety Show:  act entry forms are due TODAY to Mr. Ferris.  Reminder that tryouts are Thursday, May 3rd immediately after school in the auditorium.  If you have a sport commitment, please see Mr. Ferris or Mrs. Rickel.  Priority will be given to those who have a game.  If it is just practice, please let your coach know that you may be late.

 

4.      Attention all Model United Nations Club members:  All resolutions need to be finished and emailed to Mrs. Cook by Monday evening, April 30^th. You are welcome to work together at lunch activity this week and come to the next meeting on Mon. 30 April after school to improve them further. See Mrs. Cook for details and permission slips.

6.      The 8th Grade softball team won 12-0 vs Bala on Wednesday to remain undefeated on the season.    Julia, Rachel, Caitlyn, Shannon, and Maddie all contributed at the plate.  Alice, Emily, Gigi, and Abby played some great defense.  Maddie, Anna, and Cailey pitched 3 scoreless innings to preserve the shut-out.  Great job Bulldogs!

 

7.      Congratulations to Mr. Erwin’s homeroom for winning song of the week.  The song was Sing by My Chemical Romance.
