Announcements for Thursday, April 26, 2012 - Day 6

1.      Today’s lunch is baked potato bar with Broccoli, cheese and seasoned meat, assorted fruits and vegetables, low-fat white or chocolate milk.

 

2.      Attention all 8th graders wishing to audition for the Variety Show.  Parent signed permission slips are due TODAY to Mr. Ferris.  If you plan on auditioning and have not turned in your parent signed permission slip, please see Mr. Ferris.  We will not accept any permission forms after FRIDAY, April 27th!  Reminder that tryouts are Thursday, May 3rd immediately after school in the auditorium.  If you have a sport commitment, please see Mr. Ferris or Mrs. Rickel.  Priority will be given to those who have a game.  If it is just practice, please let your coach know that you may be late.  You must also submit an act entry form to Mr. Ferris.  Only one entry form per act. If you have any questions please see Mr. Ferris or Mrs. Rickel.

 

3.      Attention all Model United Nations Club members:  All resolutions need to be finished and emailed to Mrs. Cook by Monday evening, April 30th. You are welcome to work together at lunch activity this week and come to the next meeting on Mon. 30 April after school to improve them further. See Mrs. Cook for details and permission slips.

 

4.      The 7th grade knowledge bowl team will practice TODAY during activity and lunch.

 

5.      A reminder to all 7th graders going on the Williamsburg Trip: All medical forms, roommate forms, and the last payment are due TODAY to Ms. Wilson in Room 221.  If your forms are late without talking to Ms. Wilson, your bus seat will be chosen for you.  If you have any questions, see Ms. Wilson in her room.

 

6.      Congratulation to the following T/E track members for their outstanding performances at the Bala Cynwyd Meet:

 

Annie D - weighted 100 meter

Celeste L - open 100 meter

Lila H - 200 and 400 meter

Sarah Woods - 800 meter

Johanna N - 1600 meter

Adrianna T, Annie D, Celeste L, and Lila H - open 4 by 100 meter relay Johanna N, Sarah R, Sammy M, and Celeste L - 4 by 200 meter relay

Tessa P - shot put Mack M - 800 and 1600 meter

 

7.      The 8th grade boys' lacrosse team beat E.T. Richardson Middle School 6-4 yesterday.  Brant P. had two goals and two assists, Tommy S. had a goal and an assist, Omar D., Mac H., and Evan S. each had a goal and Jack R. had an assist.  Kyle P. once again had an outstanding game in goal, as did Sam B., Jack R., Riley W., and Billy P. on defense.
